            <p id="isPasted">We are looking for skilled creatives, designers, teachers, and researchers to join us in beautiful, sub-tropical, South-East China. The Institute of Creativity and Innovation (ICI) is a dual-degree institute founded by Xiamen University (XMU) and the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). We&rsquo;re located on XMU&rsquo;s Zhangzhou campus, which boasts a park-like atmosphere, with mountains on one side and Amoy Bay on the other. The first year focuses on building fundamental abilities in both analogue and digital media. Our creative classes in typography and visual language are supported with theoretical and contextual content, as well as developing research, analytical and critical thinking skills.&nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design with the expertise to teach where students develop advanced conceptual and specialised skills in areas such as digital branding, editorial design, illustration, image generation and manipulation, publishing and narrative, AR, VR, UI/UX design. Candidates should ideally have demonstrable experience teaching motion graphics, as well as emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and other immersive or interactive media.&nbsp;</p><p>The role requires initiative, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a cross-cultural academic environment. A master&rsquo;s degree is essential. Experience of teaching in UK Higher Education is desirable, but we welcome applications from candidates with equivalent teaching, professional or international experience. Fluency in English is required.&nbsp;</p><p>A PGCert in Higher Education, HEA Fellowship, or equivalent professional recognition is desirable. Where a successful candidate does not already hold this, they will be expected to complete the relevant qualification or recognition route within the first two years of appointment, with institutional support and funding provided.&nbsp;</p><p>By joining ICI, you will become part of the international community of designers, architects and researchers involved in visual arts, environmental studies, and new media.             <p id="isPasted">The Institute of Creativity and Innovation (ICI) is a dual-degree institute established by the University for the Creative Arts in the UK and Xiamen University in China. Based on Xiamen University&rsquo;s Zhangzhou campus, around 40 minutes from the city of Xiamen, ICI sits within a region that is both a cultural hub and an emerging centre for design and innovation in South-East China.&nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking a reflective, collaborative and well-organised educator with a background in a relevant design discipline and a minimum of two years&rsquo; experience in a teaching-focused role in higher education. You will contribute to the BA (Hons) Environmental Design course through studio-based teaching, curriculum development, assessment, student support and collaborative course delivery. You should be able to evidence effective team teaching, including the ability to share responsibilities, work flexibly with colleagues, and negotiate diverse viewpoints in a constructive manner.&nbsp;</p><p>You will join a supportive and internationally focused teaching team, with opportunities to contribute to the future direction of the course. We are interested in candidates who bring different forms of expertise, including academic research, professional practice, creative education, community engagement, digital practice, material investigation, or interdisciplinary design work.             <p id="isPasted">The &nbsp;Fashion Image cluster at UCA School of Creative Business, Fashion and Enterprise has an established reputation for training creative fashion graduates with a broad range of industry-aligned skills. An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role in shaping the BA (Hons) Make-Up and Hair Design course at our Epsom campus. &nbsp;We are looking for someone who can build on and help expand our current teaching provision, our research environment, and embrace the role of Lecturer and year lead (maternity cover). &nbsp;You should be able to demonstrate an awareness of contemporary critical issues in the field globally. A reflective and innovative approach to teaching and working collaboratively is essential to the role.</p><p>&nbsp;We are specifically looking for an individual who has the practical and contextual skills, knowledge and experience to work with our diverse students to expand their understanding and skills in Make-up and Hair Design and related media.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;We welcome applications from those with hair and make-up knowledge and interest in the editorial and commercial industry, the intersection of beauty and technology, fashion narratives/storytelling, emerging technologies and contemporary discourses around fashion and beauty.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;You will join a dedicated and diverse fashion team focused on achieving exemplary student outcomes. Prior experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree course level is required. You must be able to demonstrate good team working abilities as well as good organisational and communication skills. The teaching duties will include all related course administration and require the successful candidate to be pro-active in developing new learning and teaching methods. The candidate will also be required to participate in marketing and student recruitment activities and to potentially engage in professional research in the subject area.&nbsp;</p><p>The role is based at the Epsom Campus.
