            <p id="isPasted">Do you enjoy fixing IT problems and helping people?</p><p>We&#39;re looking for a friendly and proactive IT Desktop Support Officer to join our Information and Digital Services (IDS) team.</p><p>This role is a 2nd line, hands on, customer facing, campus-based role which plays a key part in keeping the University&#39;s digital services running smoothly for staff, students and visitors.</p><p>The role reports to the Campus IDS &amp; Service Desk Manager, forming part of the wider End-User Computing team. You will respond to incidents and requests, offer advice and help to improve the overall experience of using technology within the University.</p><p>If you enjoy troubleshooting, building relationships, and variety in your work, then this role could be for you.</p><p><strong>A Typical Day</strong></p><p>&bull; Reviewing and prioritising calls through the IT Service Desk tool.</p><p id="isPasted">&bull; Providing in person deskside and remote support for staff.</p><p>&bull; Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.</p><p>&bull; Supporting account and device management through deployment tools and M365.</p><p>&bull; Responding to cyber security incidents such as malware or phishing.</p><p>&bull; Installing and configuring computers for staff and studio spaces.</p><p id="isPasted"><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>&bull; 2 years&rsquo; experience in an IT support role with experience of using a Service Desk platform, Microsoft 365 administration tools and deployment software</p><p>&bull; Strong Windows OS troubleshooting skills and some exposure to supporting macOS devices</p><p>&bull; Confidence with face to face, and remote IT support with a proactive, problem-solving approach and strong communication skills,</p><p>&bull; Able to work autonomously and proactively, in a team-oriented environment in which knowledge sharing and collaboration are key.</p><p>&bull; Enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering great service.</p><p id="isPasted">&bull; The successful candidate must be able to commute to Farnham campus, full time &ndash; Monday to Friday 9.00AM &ndash; 5.15PM.
