How to Apply

Finding Vacancies

Our current vacancies are listed on this website and can be viewed by the type of role, e.g. Academic, campus location, full-time/part-time and if you wish to see all current vacancies, you can select the option to view them all.

How To Apply

If you are interested in a post, click the Apply Online button within the job advert and you’ll be asked to register and set up an account on the site (Why do I have to register?) or log into the account you’ve already created. Be sure to provide an email address you use regularly, because that’s how we’ll keep in touch with you about your application.

If you require the application form in an alternative format e.g. large print; audio etc. please contact People & Culture on 01252 892790.  All applications must be submitted online by the closing date.

Application Form

The online application form can be completed in stages and you can login/logout at any time. The form automatically saves as you enter your information and it is simple to move backwards and forwards within the form at any time prior to submission. Help is available at each stage to guide you through the form.

Before final submission, you can preview your application and can then choose to refine or submit the form.

Visa and Immigration

If you think you may require a visa to work in the UK you should refer to the "Immigration, Visas and Relocation" page on the left-hand side before embarking on a job application to ensure that you understand the requirements for sponsorship. You may be eligible to work in the UK via other alternative visa routes such as the Global Talent Visa or by having Settlement / ILR, please refer to our Staff Immigration webpages for further details.

DBS Policy and procedure

DBS Policy

If the role you are applying for is subject to a DBS check as part of the DBS application process you will be asked to provide a range of ID documents.  These documents are listed here ID documents required for DBS check

After Applying

Once you have submitted your application, you will see in the 'My Applications' area, that the status of your application will be "submitted" and it will also show the date of submission.

The following day, you will receive an acknowledgment email.

After Closing Date

The selection panel will assess all applicants against the requirements of the job description and person specification and then notify People & Culture of their decision.

People & Culture will then contact the applicants as appropriate.
